About Mr. Rivera

Mr. Rivera is a graduate of Marfa High School and Sul Ross State University.  He has worked in education for 24 years, including stints in Presidio and Balmorhea ISD's, as well as long service in Kermit.He has one grown son, Michael.  Mr. Rivera likes Mexican food, and Tejano music.  He also sponsors the UIL Spanish team, and heads up the annual Cinco de Mayo celebration for KISD. Mr. Rivera is also active in teaching GED classes.  In his spare time, he enjoys viewing sports.  He credits his career choice to his Junior High teachers in Marfa.  He believes "Communicating daily is a must for society's survival."
